Pre-calculus is an odd mongrel of a course. It’s name suggests it’s preparation for calculus. The course content, commonly involving polynomials, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometry and circular functions, suggests the intent of pre-calculus is indeed preparation for calculus.
